The company began its industrial activity by the end of 1998. The business units include equipment and plants for the sorting and recovery of urban and industrial solid waste, forestry shredders and renewable energies, solid fertilizers, bulk transports, and large metallic structures.
With over 26 years of experience, DEISA has over 300 sorting and recovery plants from MSW designed and settled in Argentina and South America, in countries like Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay. Among the most outstanding plants, large environmental complexes such as Centros Verdes and MRF from Buenos Aires city, Avellaneda, Paraná, Rosario, Ezeiza, and San Juan can be mentioned. All of them are part of large turnkey projects in which our company is in charge of everything from project development to start-up and training of plant operators.
Their industry is located in a great technological development area, motivated by the environmental tendency to care for and preserve the environment. In addition, there are social factors that encourage our clients to invest in this type of product, since these plants work as creators of more dignified and registered jobs that are occupied by “cartoneros”, that is, informal garbage collection workers.
In the solid fertilizers market, they have done important work in the mechanization of reception, conditioning, and clearance of solid fertilizers, thus providing equipment and services to customers such as Profertil SA, Moviport SA, TFA Bunge, Agricultores Federados Argentinos SCL (AFA), and COFCO Argentina. In large engineering works, particularly in the Renewable Energies area, they designed and built the biodigester located in Merlo city (San Luis), the only experience in Argentina of Electricity Generation stemming from the processing of the Organic Fraction of MSW.
The challenges faced by DEISA have grown and far exceeded expectations. With the Recovery and Improvement of the General Belgrano Railway work, once again, they have shown their potential, this time in Road and Structural Works with the restoration and enhancement of three Railway Bridges located in Monje, Villa La Rivera, and Granadero Baigorria, opening the way to new business units.
The company’s history and performance were acknowledged in the 2017 edition of the PYME Awards. This initiative, pushed forward by Clarín and Banco Galicia, aims to recognize and honour Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Companies for their contribution to our country's economic and social development, where they won in the High Social and Environmental Impact category. In 2018, they were awarded the Exportar prize, organized by the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade (AAICI in Argentina) in the Triple Impact category, which highlights companies that generate a high social, economic, and environmental impact with their activity.
In 2022, DEISA received the Argentine Good Design Hallmark distinction, awarded by the Office of Industry and Productive Development of the National Ministry of Economy for the DEISA CH1200M chipper in recognition of its quality of design and innovation. In 2023, they were honored with a PYME Award from HSBC Bank and La Nación newspaper in the sustainability area. This prize aims to emphasize Argentine PYMES' drive, resilience, and commitment that keep investing and betting on the future, especially those having a positive impact on the environment and sustainable policies.
The company chases excellence and is governed by the ongoing expansion and innovation towards new markets and products. The development of new equipment designed for solving dynamics, as well as the changing needs of the customers, is a given at DEISA. Such is the level of innovation that, in Latin America, the standard waste management system has been created by them. They intend to provide integral solutions of applied engineering for the RSU treatment, the bulk materials handling, and forestry shredding, with an innovative concept in a market characterized by growing environmental demands.
